Windows 95/98
 
Win95/98 - Word 97
  1. These steps are for Installing Word 97 Professional ONLY! Scroll down to see your version of Word and Windows!
  2. Click Start ->Settings ->Control Panel
  3. Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon
  4. Scroll down untill you see Microsoft Office 97 - Professional (side note: In Microsoft Office 97 and 97.2 Small Business, Microsoft Word will be manually installed from the installation disk by itself) and left-click once to highlight
  5. In the Setup Box click "Add/Remove"
  6. Check the Microsoft Word box
  7. Click "OK" and "Continue"
  8. Close all windows when the Install is completed
  9. Restart your system to ensure all files and registry entries are updated properly
Win95/98 - Word 2000
  1. These steps are for Installing Word 2000 ONLY! Scroll down to see your version of Word and Windows!
  2. Click Start ->Settings ->Control Panel
  3. Double-click the "Add/Remove Programs" icon
  4. Scroll down untill you see Microsoft Office 2000 - Professional and left-click once to highlight
  5. In the Maintenance Mode Window, click "Add/Remove Features"
  6. Click the computer icon next to "Microsoft Word for Windows"
